Stefano Cisternino

Stefano Cisternino is a Research Fellow on PersoNa at the University of Padova, where, alongside the project’s research activities, he is responsible for communications, press relations, events and partnerships. Within PersoNa, his research examines the epistemic, sociolinguistic and AI-related dimensions of personal narratives in climate litigation. Outside PersoNa, he is Principal Energy Correspondent at The European Correspondent (with journalism and commentary on a variety of outlets including DeSmog and Treccani), and Director of the Italian Observatory on Climate Misinformation. He is an EU Climate Pact Ambassador, Climate Fresk Facilitator, Climate Reality Leader, IRENA Peer Educator and Climatebase Fellow. He holds an M.Sc. in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University and a second Master’s degree in Sustainable Development and Climate Change from the University of Pisa. His academic research broadly focuses on climate communication, disinformation and public perceptions of the green transition.
