Renato Stella is Full Professor of Sociology of Cultural Processes at the Fisppa Department of the University of Padua.
He is a member of the board of the Ph.D. program in “Social Sciences: interactions, communication, cultural constructions,” teaches Mass Communications at the Communication major and New Media at the Community Psychology major.
His research interests include media studies, mass society, new media and popular culture, the relationship between sexuality, gender and media; porn studies and Online Sexual Activities. He is particularly interested in qualitative research methods.
He has served as Chair of the Bachelor of Sociological Sciences and Communication Studies degree programs and the Master of Communication Strategies degree program.
He has also served as Director of the Department of Sociology. He was national coordinator of a Prin project related to the public sphere and communication spaces.
He is currently local coordinator of a PRIN project on the media representation of feminicide.
