Fabio Gasparini is a PhD student in Social Sciences at the Department of Philosophy, Sociology, Education, and Applied Psychology (FISSPA) at the University of Padua. He holds a Master’s degree in Organization, Society, and Technology from the University of Trento, where he completed a thesis entitled “Ways of Going On. The Production of Objectivity in Contemporary Biomedicine.”

His research is situated within the field of Science and Technology Studies (STS), with a particular emphasis on the sociotechnical dimensions of biomedical innovation. His scholarly interests include the relationships between post-genomic sciences, computational methods and clinical practices, with a specific focus on the role of bioinformatics.

He collaborates with the Bioinformatics Italian Society (BITS).
