Alessio Giacometti holds a Master’s degree in Sociology and Social Research and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. He is currently a PhD candidate in “Social Sciences: Interactions, Communication, Cultural Constructions” at the University of Padua, with a project on the sociotechnical imaginaries of nuclear fusion.

His research interests comprise sociology of science, environmental sociaology, political ecology, Environmental Humanities, Anthropocene Studies, the social studies of energetic transition, science and nature writing. He is editor of Il Tascabile, the online cultural magazine of the Institute for the Italian Encyclopedia “G. Treccani”.
